The Dragon Ball is a close-range attack in the Worms series.
Description[]
The Dragon Ball is an attack which will create a fiery blue ball which will be fired horizontally. If the fireball hits a Worm, that Worm will take 30 points of damage and will be pushed forward. If the Dragon Ball does not hit anything after it has traveled a small distance, it will disappear. The range that it attacks is similar to the range that you use the Uzi and Minigun.
Usage[]
The user should face the target and press the Fire Button. The user can only launch the Dragon Ball horizontally and it will always travel horizontally. You have to master it before using it.
Tips & Tricks[]
- The Dragon Ball should usually be used instead of the Fire Punch in case the user wants to hit the target from further away, or if the user wants to push the target shorter.
- When there's an enemy at the 85° slope, you have to back flip and aim at the right time, otherwise you will miss a shot.
Trivia[]
- The weapon itself is an obvious reference to Ryu's "Hadouken", while the name references Goku's "Kamehameha" from Dragon Ball (and Dragon Ball Z). Also, it was originally named "Fire Ball" in Lemartillery/Total Wormage.
- In the 3rd and 4th generation Worms games, the Worm puts on a blue headband when the Dragon Ball is selected from the weapons panel.
- The Dragon Ball never appeared in any 3D Worms games, possibly because the developers didn't know how it would work.
- In some games, the Worm shouts "Shoryuken!" when firing the blast, and "Hadouken!" when performing the Fire Punch, though it should be the other way around.
- The correct shouting when firing is "Hadouken" and not Badouken.
