Energy is the remaining health of a Worm in the Worms series.
Description[]
When a Worm's energy is reduced to zero, they get flagged as eliminated, and if still on the map, will soon self-destruct, causing a small explosion, and leaving behind a gravestone. They then stop counting as a living Worm for the team they're on, leaving the team closer to defeat. A Worm drowned in water loses all energy.
Damage caused by Weapons reduce a Worm's energy by a certain amount depending on how close the Worm was to each explosion the weapon produced and the maximum damage value of each weapon.
It is possible to recover a living Worm's energy using marked health crates. A Worm's energy can be increased above the initial amount that way.
Poison causes a gradual reduction of Worm energy over the turns. The poison cannot reduce a Worm's energy to zero. It can be cured with the same health crates that restore energy.

Generally the energy value of a specific Worm is shown as a number above the Worm right next to its name. The combined energy value of a team is normally shown as a filled gauge, on a fighting game health meter styled HUD in the First Generation games, or in an energy leaderboard in later games. In some games such as Worms Revolution, the team energy gauge is shown as a segmented gauge showing each Worm's energy as a segment of the gauge.
- In Worms 2, Worms Armageddon, and Worms World Party, the team energy gauge is shown at the bottom center of the screen.
- In Worms Revolution, the segmented team energy gauge is shown at the bottom center of the screen.
- In Worms Clan Wars and Worms Battlegrounds, the segmented team energy gauge is shown at the bottom left of the screen.
- In Worms W.M.D, the team energy gauge is shown at the bottom left of the screen.
